The Spell/ The Forest is an ongoing project based on kitschy embroidery motifs showing the visual illusion of a perfect nature. An imagery of nature domesticated and controlled by humans. The underlying drawing is preserved but the colors are altered from the original motifs. Even if the underdrawings are referring to a dated handicraft the pictures become kind of pixellated and look digitally made. The paintings and drawings have been shown in different constellations.
